While researching language apps before building this one, it became clear that while there are dozens of great apps for learning English, almost none were truly built for those learning Brazilian Portuguese with a specific goal in mind—whether that is living, working, or building a relationship in Brazil.

Most Portuguese courses treat the language in a generic way, without distinguishing between Brazilian and European Portuguese, and without focusing on the real-life situations a foreigner will face in daily Brazilian life.

Flor do Lácio was created to bridge that gap: offering real conversation practice in Brazilian Portuguese with immediate AI feedback, plus the option to supplement with live sessions with a human tutor whenever you want to take your learning further.
